Call for Submissions: KIN + DIGNITY® Magazine Seeks Submissions for its September 2025 issue centered on The Southern Black Rodeo Experience
Deadline: July 31, 2025
Giddy up, Kin!
KIN + DIGNITY®, your favorite downhome magazine for Southern Black literature, culture, and art with a small-town twist, is seeking unpublished writing pieces and photography for our September 2025 publication theme: “Rodeo.”
Be a part of elevating the literary experience of the small-town Black South by submitting creative nonfiction, short stories, poetry, essays, prose, art, and candid photos for publishing in this unique indie publication.
Writers and photographers of all backgrounds and experience levels are encouraged to reach out. We pride ourselves on publishing works from emerging writers and photographers as well.
Along with your submissions, our magazine will also include narrative features, interviews, and quotes focusing on our chosen theme.
We love small towns. We love rural communities. Please keep this in mind as you submit.
Check out our writing guidelines to upload your written and visual art through the form. We look forward to seeing your submissions! 🐴
Not a writer or photographer?
